Heaven A Would-Be Explorers Guide, The NEW book from acclaimed author Antony Forster is available now through Lulu Press Inc.

Many if not most people on earth don’t think their life will be judged when an accident, illness or last breath means the end of life has arrived. Indeed, nearly all people imagine that what they remember before they were conceived (nothing) is the state to which they will return; again without intervening judgement.

According to the author, Antony Forster, neither is true. He asks, “How could anyone go through life praising God for introducing Jesus Christ in human form on earth and to be the propitiation for our sins, only to disappear into infinite oblivion, without judgement?”

And, “How could someone who mercilessly treads down upon colleagues in order to rise up in business and make millions expect to go anywhere but hell?”

Antony’s naive attempt at saving one out of one hundred strays is certainly thought provoking. It’s a polemic that is reflective, touching, biblical, anecdotal and, occasionally, amusing; at the same time as providing an opportunity for open-minded people to change their lives at no cost, it offers people the chance of an afterlife in paradise, rather than an eternally punishing time where there is constant weeping and gnashing of teeth.

About The Author

Antony Forster

Antony Forster is, in his own words, a miserable sinner who has always believed in the Christian Holy Trinity. Never appearing very Christian, some listen to his stories.

He began in business as a sales correspondent for 3M’s Business Machines division in Brazenose Street, Manchester. Loving the job and company, he hoped to move to its Minneapolis/St Paul HQ in Minnesota. The US Embassy told him that he would likely be called up for service in Vietnam after six months, so he asked Uncle Gordon for a job at his wholesale shoe warehouse in Hull.

After eighteen months, following three months of his creating rocketing sales in the north east territory, he asked Uncle Gordon for a first pay rise as he was no longer a trainee warehouseman and had greatly improved sales. The Yorkshireman said, “When I were your age, I were earning five bob a week.” Not too encouraging!

Antony took the message and left to fly around Europe with teams of smart, gorgeous stewardesses and male stewards on BEA, now BA short haul. There he co- wrote, -produced and -directed shows in which cabin crew members performed every function from lighting, sound, acting, singing and dancing. He co-founded the British Airways Cabin Crew Entertainment Society (BACCES.com), which has given many thousands of pounds to numerous charities since he pioneered the practice in 1971. They still perform at least one pantomime every year.

Antony left BEA for an insurance management course at A. R. Stenhouse & Co. in Glasgow in 1972, moving onwards and upwards to broking at Lloyd’s of London for A R Stenhouse and J H Minet. He then worked for five years in Bermuda and New York for International Risk Management, Fred Reiss’s pioneering, innovative and fast growing Captive Management group. Fred taught him the intricacies of eating (and drinking wines) out!

After moving back to London in 1978 as Managing Director of Business Risk & Insurance Management Co. Ltd (in London - and President in Bermuda) he formed a number of Corporate insurance Cos which he managed, including one for Thomson Group of Canada.

In 1992, Antony worked with Lord Bird (John, founder of the Big Issue), his local Church in Vauxhall and MP, Peter Bottomly to raise £125 K in order to make the Church hall more accessible for the homeless, as well as providing increased office space for counselling. For P.R., these men staged two five aside football matches between ten homeless people and ten MPs from the nearby House of Commons. The charity was named Inner City 125.

In that year, he also founded Saisho Asset Management Ltd, which won a contract with Kawasaki Inc. in New York to engineer, monitor, equip, lease or sell 24 Airbus A320 aircraft worth around $1 billion, including choice of internal equipment and paint jobs.

Antony is also known for the homeless charities he (co-)founded and ran whilst Chief Executive of an airline consulting group, his work as Vice Chairman of the Hull Homeless and Rootless Project as well as his fundraising work with Leonard Cheshire for people with severe disabilities. He is also a poet who often dabbles in semi-biographical writing.
